Troll Hunter 2 is a possible sequel to the Norwegian 2010 film Troll Hunter.
André Øvredal, the director of the first film, has expressed interest in making a sequel in an interview with Collider from May 2nd, 2011, saying, "There are tons of ideas for a sequel that were left over from the script process, which are very useful for a sequel, so that's in the back of our minds."
In November 2016, the film rights to Troll Hunter reverted back to Øvredal and the Norwegian producers, due to the remake's cancellation. This leaves the future of the Troll Hunter franchise in Øvredal's hands.
